Dave Harvey
Dave had humble beginnings in his musical apprenticeship; he is chiefly self-taught, with too many performances around the campfire to count. But after a few years of accompanying church choirs, singing in local choirs and participating in various folk-rock experiments, his efforts became focused as a founding member of Jazz Noir and original co-founder of the Georgia Straight Jazz Society.

After a 10-year sabbatical, performing in various questionable establishments on four continents, he’s happy to be back home on the island playing with the Mosaic Trio. His driving rhythm guitar and intricate flat and finger picking form the foundation of our sound.
Alain Gourdeau
Alain is a brilliant lead guitar player, adding much of the color and texture to the music. He has studied classical guitar at Université Laval PQ, the Victoria Conservatory, as well as in France. He studied jazz guitar at the University of Victoria and the Tritone Jazz Camp in the USA. He has played in rock & pop bands, big bands, jazz quartets, and done solo improvisation. He has also had a 10-year involvement on bass with the Strathcona Symphony Orchestra and has performed in the North Island Choral Society orchestra.

Alain enjoys a good laugh as well as his guitar, upright bass, piano, synthesizer, and vocals.
Ram Sudama
Ram is a multi-instrumentalist who is very active in the music community in the Comox Valley. He performed for many years on the East coast, and was one of the founding members and long-time contributors to the jazz/fusion group Fikus. Locally, he plays with the Comox Valley Concert Band, the Strathcona Symphony, and the Dave Blinzinger Jazz Collective, as well as participating in the pit orchestra for a number of musical productions.
With Mosaic, Ram plays acoustic bass guitar and provides a solid bottom to the mix. He also sings lead and harmony on many of the songs.
